Not for the faint of heart

I was at an Arbonne meeting last night and I learned about something that I had never heard of before. I was actually horrified and promptly decided that I was never going to eat again...seriously, if you get ill easily, do not read the article linked to this.

I really couldn't believe that the government is ok with allowing these sorts of things to happen. Where is the FDA and the EPA in this? As much as I am thankful for learning things, sometimes I truly believe that ignorance is bliss.

Apparently so can human waste. So this is where they take roadkill. I hear roadkill causes cancer.

On a little more serious note, where did the person who wrote this get their information? What do they think is in plant fertilizer, smiles and world peace? It's full of DUNG. I'm not sure if this Judy is a vegetarian, but I'm under the impression that plants have feelings too, and these vegetarian butchers need to be stopped!

Oh, and I won't be eating dog food anytime soon.

They boil the animals and take the fat that comes off the top and sell it to skin care and cosmetic companies...mmmmm skunk lotion! There are also rumors of this animal by product being in things like processed cookies and hot dogs, etc. I wouldn't be surprised if some of this is in that soft taco you just bought at Taco Bell.

ok...

So your dog licks his butt then comes and licks your face...so what!

Sometimes cats will eat their young.

Eggs are dead chickens.

You wanna know why I don't use ketchup much since like 1995? What do you think is in ketchup? Tomato bugs...those big thick green bugs. Here's a picture: http://www.townofgroton.org/xml/community/citizens_gallery/flowers_and_gardens_-_liz_schreiner/pages/Red%20Horned%20Tomato%20Worm.htm

Are you letting veginazis scare you?

rebecca marie, that is soooo 1984!

and about this post: i see this as reason #459 not to eat meat, or if you do, eat vegitarian fed meat and eggs from veggie fed hens. and choose ORGANIC whenever possible.

because the alternative is just plain gross.

I can't eat vegetables because they feed them feces, chop them to little pieces and feed the leftovers (roots and whatnot) back to themselves. I feel sorry for the poor plants that can't defend themselves and are considered inferior to animal rights activists and vegetarians.

Dude, that is far less scary than "Supersize Me" (the movie about eating at McDonalds for a month).

So what are the alternatives to the current system?
* Burn it all (more air polution, and we have to grow and kill more to feed the animals we have now).
* Put it into landfills (do you want to live next to the giant stinking pet cemetary?).

Isn't it more environmentally conscious to use everything from an animal?

Where do you think roadkill goes to?

I just imagine myself in the woods with nothing to eat and a skunk or dog walks by. If I'm starving, I'm hunting. I'm not chewing bark off a tree.

organic food may not have chemicals on it, but it has poop all over it...I'd rather have the chemicals than the diseased feces on it.

OR you could WASH your food! what an idea . . .
